New River Gorge Adventures

Whitewater rafting in the New River Gorge is where it all began for us. Rafting is still our most popular adventure but we’ve added the comforts of a resort over the years like dining services and rental cabins. We also honor the wild spirit of West Virginia by expanding our range of guided outdoor activities to represent all the adventures available to guests in the New River Gorge. All these adventures are hosted on our 1,500 mountain property, or, in the nearby New River Gorge National River, Gauley River Recreation Area or Summersville Lake.

Or Gorgeside Zipline Course offers some exclusive features like tandem zipline courses and exclusive river views. It’s also the only zipline tour inside the boundaries of the New River Gorge National Park!

There are some many exciting things to do in the New River Gorge like rock climbing, rappelling and even our Aerial Adventure Park that is conveniently located in walking distance from our waterpark and other resort amenities.

Did you know that the New River Gorge is home to USA’s Today’s Best Hiking Trail In The United States? It’s true! The Endless Wall Trail was nominated for this incredible award, and we believe it’s well deserved. But, it’s not the only incredible trail to explore in the New River Gorge National Park. Join us for a guided national park hike with one of ACE’s professional guides and explore the remarkable views and abundant wildlife that helps our gorge become a national treasure.

Hiking isn’t the only way to hit the trails with ACE. If you’re hungry for speed on wheels you can join us for a guided mountain biking trip or an ATV or side by side tour if you prefer a gas pedal over bike pedals. In search of some competition? We have exciting options that are perfect for groups that want to keep their feet on the ground while engaging in some friendly contest. Our mud obstacle course is a great way to foster both teamwork and friendly competition as you race through, under and over the muddy challenges of our mud obstacle course. Or, if you’ve got a little sharp shooter in you and a taste for battle, load up and join your friends and family on our paintball course. As much as we love rafting we know it’s not everybody’s idea of a vacation. For those seeking a more mellow adventure on water we have the perfect outdoor excursion! Join us at Summersville Lake for a special trip that blends the best of two adventures. We have a fleet of inflatable SUPs (Stand Up Paddleboards) that can also be configured as sit on top kayaks. It’s the best way to explore the crystal blue waters and secret cliff lined coves of West Virginia’s newest State Park, Summersville Lake.
