The staff you encounter at the waterpark and restaurant are friendly and helpful. Your guides have the certifications and training, necessary to maximize your group’s experience and expectations while prioritizing safety.  Special dietary needs are easily addressed at the restaurant and on-trip lunches. Non-profit rates for lodging, ACE guided activities, and group meals remove the group leader’s stress of planning before and during the trip.

Group Lodging

When it’s time to kick back and relax, we have plenty of group lodging options. Our lodging ranges from rustic camping and budget group lodging to deluxe cabins.

ACE’s campground and budget-friendly lodging options enable military group organizers to minimize lodging costs and invest in experiential outdoor activities that build relationships, expand confidence, and develop team building within the group.

Whitewater Rafting

Whitewater rafting is an incredible team-building outdoor adventure and we have been in the industry for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on our experienced and trusted guides, making our main focus safety.

The Lower New River is our most popular and is an excellent river for beginners and experiences rafters. If you’re looking for a more relaxing float trip, the Upper New River is perfect.

The Gauley River is a great option if you plan on visting during the fall. The Upper Gauley River is only recommended for experienced rafters, but the Lower Gauley River is beginner-friendly and comparable to the Lower New River.

Group Adventures

Build your one-day or multi-day excursion.  Rafting, Rock Climbing, Aerial Park, Mountain Biking, and Zip Lining can challenge you physically and personally. The Mud Obstacle, Aerial Park, Paintball, and Team Challenge activities enable your group leaders to observe and evaluate the group working as a team and identify emerging leaders.

Waterpark

Experience the coolest waterpark you’ve ever seen at ACE Adventure Resort. This 5-acre lake is filled with inflatable obstacles, tandem slides, tandem ziplines, a big air blob, and plenty of room to swim. Compete with your friends to see who can complete each obstacle first, or enjoy by yourself.

There’s plenty of opportunity to relax around the lake on the white sandy beach. You will find beach chairs along the lake to find the perfect spot to stretch out. The best part is that the lake is located by the lakeside eatery, so you can grab a bite to eat without having to leave.

Let us cook while you focus your energy on what you came here to do. Have fun! For breakfast, enjoy our classic buffet or grab breakfast sandwiches to go. For lunch, stop by Woodys for our award-winning woodfired pizza, wraps, wings, nachos, sandwiches and more. We can also prepare lunch just for your group! Return to the lost paddle for dinner to enjoy more American favorites.

Free Activities

There’s plenty to do for free at ACE! Stop by the Welcome Center for a resort map and head out on the trails encompassing the terrain around ACE. We have miles of hiking and biking trails like the Concho Overlook Trail overlooking the historic town of Thurmond in the New River Gorge. Whether you want to explore by foot or two wheels, we have beginner, moderate, and advanced trails so everyone can go on an adventure.

Bring your fishing gear and fish in our private fishing ponds. If you like ornithology, we are a prime location for viewing dozens of species of birds. Don’t forget to check out our one-of-a-kind Disc Golf course spanning over 6,000 feet of challenging and open flight paths.
