Full Day Fall Lower Gauley Whitewater Rafting
Fall Lower Gauley River Whitewater Rafting
The Lower Gauley gets treated like an underdog, often overshadowed by the fame of the Upper Gauley. However, the Lower Gauley is a guide favorite, with big holes, huge hits, over 50 rapids, it’s perfect for intermediate rafters, experienced rafters, adventurous families and friend groups, and, to be honest, it’s just a super fun section of river to raft. Now, who’s an underdog?
This trip is not only exciting and fun, it’s downright idyllic. If you were ever looking to commune with nature while zipping down a river and hitting big water, then don’t skip this trip. Experience one of the most exciting and scenic whitewater trips on the East Coast during Gauley Season. The Lower Gauley River delivers 10 miles of big water, dramatic scenery, and 50 rapids, making it a favorite among returning guests and guides.
With a mix of Class III–V rapids, this trip is a step up from the Lower New River and a step down in intensity from the Upper Gauley, making this trip perfect for both first-time Gauley rafters and experienced paddlers looking for a more mild ride on the wild side.
Quick Facts:
- 10 miles of whitewater
- 50 rapids (Class III–V)
