Girl Scouting At ACE Adventure Resort

At ACE, we know girls can do anything, especially when they work together. And, when girls work together in the outdoors, there is nothing that they can’t accomplish. That’s why we have always been a strong partner and supporter of The Girl Scouts.

ACE Adventure Resort’s 1500-acre resort is located in the heart of the New River Gorge National Park, and we have served the scouting community for over 40 years.

In 2019, ACE, alongside GS Black Diamond Council, hosted the first annual GIRL Fest event, where girls from 22 states joined together for four days of adventure in West Virginia. In 2021 and 2023, Girl Fest returned to ACE for more camping, high-adventure activities, meals, and the waterpark. GSBDC provided Girl Scout programming opportunities and fun evening activities throughout the week-long event. 

We aim to prioritize your group’s safety and to make your adventure easy with professional guides and staff, well-maintained equipment, preparation ofsome or all of your meals, lodging, camping, and adjusted non-profit pricing.

Girl Fest

Registration with Girl Scouts Black Diamond Council began on October 28th 2024. More information about the event can be found here.

The ACE Girl Fest Package includes:

• 5 nights of primitive camping
• Meals during the event
• 4 All-Day Waterpark Passes
• 3 Half Day Guided activities (activity descriptions below)

Begin by contacting the Girl Scouts Black Diamond Council to register. Then, await a phone call from ACE to book your 2025 Girl Fest package.

Great Activities

ACE’s Rafting, Rock Climbing, Aerial Park, Mountain Biking, and Zip Lining challenge you physically and personally. The Mud Obstacle Course, Aerial Park, Paintball Course, and Team Challenge Course help you identify the leaders and encourage your group’s ability to work together to accomplish a common goal.

Looking for a more reflective trip? Consider a guided hike, Stand Up Paddleboarding, or Lake Kayaking.

Non-profit rates are available for Upper and Lower New River Gorge Whitewater Rafting, Gorgeside Zipline Tours, Mud Obstacle Course, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Bridgewalk, Horseback Trail Rides, and the Aerial Adventure Park.

ACE’s 1,500 acres are the home to miles of hiking and biking trails that your Girl Scouts can use for free! Grab a trail map from our Welcome Center and hit the trails on your own. Rent a bike from us or bring your own and explore on two wheels, or lace up your hiking books and see the sights on your own two feet.

New River Gorge High Adventure Package

This package was designed with “Scouts” in mind.  Starting Sunday night and departing on Friday morning, the package includes:

• 5 nights of primitive camping
• 2 half-day waterpark passes
• 5 half-day guided activities
• Plus a six-piece patch set
• $525.00 per person price

STEM

ACE is proud to offer STEM programs so that Girl Scouts can learn in the coolest classroom ever, the outdoors! At ACE, we know that hands-on learning keeps things fun, and we’re lucky to be able to show Girl Scout’s our classroom every day. Experience hydrology through whitewater rafting, explore ecology through the diverse Appalachian ecosystem, and discover geology all at ACE!

New for 2019, ACE offers a STEM Waterpark program so Girl Scouts can learn about principles of mathematics and physics that make Wonderland Waterpark operate!

Wonderland Waterpark

Spend a day or half-day playing at the most awesome waterpark ever! The 5-acre spring-fed Wonderland Waterpark is full of bouncy fun for kids of all ages (including and especially adults!). Girl Scouts will bounce, slide, zip, and play their way to a day that they will never forget.

With group lodging options ranging from rustic camping to luxury cabins on-site, we can help your Girl Scout Troop find the best option for your needs.

If roughing it isn’t your speed, cabin tents and bunkhouses provide a great middle-ground option between camping and cabins. We also have vacation rental cabins for those seeking more refined accommodations with the comforts of home.
