Summer Camps in West Virginia: Welcome to ACE!
It’s never too early to start peering ahead to summer’s arrival, especially for those sharp-witted adolescents who have a penchant for adventure and exploration. Over the decades, ACE Adventure Resort has evolved into one of the premier adventure-based summer camps in West Virginia, as well as the East Coast. There’s seemingly no end to potential excitement here in the awe-inspiring Appalachian Mountains. Groups of children can partake in a wide variety of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, guided hikes, and mountain biking tours.
ACE’s Full-Day Kids Camp
Our world-class, full-day Kids Camp typically caters best to kids between the ages of five and 18. ACE is revered for its wild whitewater rapids, but there’s so much more to love about this particularly stirring slice of West Virginia. Depending on the age group, your kiddos can splash inside our spring-fed lake waterpark, start a paintball battle rivalry, and zip-line through the dense, jaw-dropping Appalachians. While the Kids Camp is geared toward families, a lot of midsized groups utilize our chaperoned services during one- or two-day events. However, as you’ll notice below, groups are also urged to consider our “build-your-own” adventures—something that you likely won’t find at many summer camps in West Virginia.

Camping Under the Stars
ACE wouldn’t be one of the most desirable summer camps in West Virginia without offering a wide variety of lodging options, including group tenting. But we also have several budget-friendly bunkhouses and upscale log cabins on our 1,500-acre wilderness campus. Typically, the kids either want to tent under the stars near a crackling campfire or band together in a sizable, classic bunkhouse. Regardless of where your group spends each evening, there’s no doubt that a hefty amount of bonding and camaraderie will ensue.
