Pet Friendly New River Gorge Cabins
About Pet Friendly New River Gorge Cabins
With various pet-friendly options, you can choose the perfect cabin to accommodate you and your beloved pets, making it easy and convenient to bring them along on your getaway. A $50 pet cleaning fee is charged per pet-friendly cabin. All pets must be up to date on their rabies and other vaccinations. Pets should not be left unattended unless securely crated in the cabin. Are there additional fees?
There is a $50 cleaning fee for pets. If you are booking online, please leave a comment in the “Anything we should know?” box at checkout, and our quality assurance team will add the cleaning fee to your reservation.
Are there weight restrictions for pets?
We currently have no weight restrictions in place.
Are crates required?
Pets can not be left alone unless they are securely crated in the cabin.
Do you have pet friendly activities?
Our property includes incredible trails, and the Welcome Center can provide a resort map to get you started. Additionally, we are located near popular trails in the New River Gorge National Park, such as Long Point Trail, Endless Wall Trail, and Kaymoor Miners Trail.
Are dogs allowed in the New River Gorge National Park?
Yes! Pets must be on a leash that is no longer than 6 feet. They are not allowed inside park buildings, and it is essential to clean up after them at all times. Please be respectful of other hikers, wildlife, and the trail conditions by keeping your dog close and under control.
What are some dog friendly activities in the New River Gorge National Park?
There are numerous incredible trails in New River Gorge National Park. Some great options include the Canyon Rim Boardwalk (located at the Canyon Rim Visitor Center), Long Point Trail, and many other trails available on-site.
You can also include your dog in the park’s pet ambassador crew by joining the B.A.R.K. Ranger Program offered by the National Park Service. This fun initiative allows you and your dog to learn and practice responsible pet behavior in national parks. You can even be sworn in as B.A.R.K. Rangers!
