Your mission team can stop before beginning your mission trip commitment, on your way home, or your midweek Fun Day.  Add a rafting trip or a day at Wonderland Waterpark to your group’s itinerary.  Utilize the Aerial Park or Mud obstacle course to unite your team before taking on your mission. The New River Gorge trails in the National Park or here on the property greatly complement your day’s activities.

ACE Adventure Resort thanks you for your service to our state and offers you and your team non-profit group rates for your activities, rustic lodging, and meals.

Group Lodging

ACE Adventure Resort lodging allows you to stay close to the action. Our accommodations range from rustic camping and budget group lodging to deluxe lodging.

ACE’s campground and budget-friendly options enable groups to minimize lodging costs and invest in team-building outdoor activities that build confidence and relationships.

Whitewater Rafting

We LOVE whitewater rafting here and have been in the industry for over 40 years. We prioritize safety and pride ourselves in having the best guides in the region.

The Lower New River is our most popular trip and is great for beginners and experienced rafters. The Upper New River is an excellent trip if you’re looking for a slower pace.

During the fall, we offer Gauley River Trips. The Lower Gauley River is a step up from the Lower New River, making it great for first-time and experienced rafters. The Upper Gauley River, with larger rapids and a cascading waterfall, is only recommended for those with rafting experience.

Group Adventures

Reserve a one-day or multi-day custom trip using the non-profit group rates. ACE’s Rafting, Rock Climbing, Aerial Park, Mountain Biking, and Zip Lining can encourage teamwork and build confidence.

The Mud Obstacle, Aerial Park,Team Challenge, and Paintball activities help you identify the leaders and strengthen your group’s ability to accomplish a common goal. Looking for a more reflective trip? Consider Lake Kayaking, a guided hike, or Stand-up Paddleboarding.

Waterpark

At the heart of ACE Adventure Resort is the coolest waterpark you’ve ever seen. This 5-acre lake is the perfect place for all ages to have fun and relax.

The lake is filled with inflatable obstacle courses, so you can race, climb, slide, and bounce your way around the water. Fly through the air with a friend on the tandem ziplines and slide into the water on the tandem waterslides. Take turns blobing each other and see who can soar the highest. With this much to do, this is the perfect full-day or half-day activity.

Dining Options

We know you want to focus on having fun and bonding with your group, so let us take care of the cooking. Enjoy our classic breakfust buffet or grab a breakfast sandwich and head off to your next actity. Stop by Woodys for lunch and try our award-winning woodfired pizza, nachos, wings, sanwiches, wraps, and more. Head back to the Lost Paddle Bar and Grill for more of those classic American favorites.

Free Activities

There’s plenty to do here for FREE! Stop by the Welcome Center for a resort map and set out on your adventure. You will find dozens of trails encompassing miles of ACE terrain. Concho Overlook is a beautiful trail that overlooks the historic town of Thurmond in the New River Gorge. If you would rather travel on two wheels, we have beginner, moderate, and advanced bike trails. You can rent a mountain bike from us or bring your own gear.

Bring your fishing gear and head to our private fishing ponds around the resort. We also have a one-of-a-kind Disc Golf Course spanning over 6,000 feet of challenging open flight paths. If ornithology is more your speed, we are a prime bird-watching location with dozens of bird species.
