You’ll start your day by rafting the Lower New River Gorge and experiencing amazing views while running Class IV+ rapids. Then you’ll head to the waterpark for a COMPLIMENTARY afternoon waterpark pass. Finish off your day getting blobbed into the stratosphere, sliding down waterslides or relaxing on our sandy beaches!

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

• See the Gorge without dedicating a full day: ​Experience the beauty of the New River Gorge, without dedicating a whole today to rafting. A half-day trip on the Lower New takes place on the same stretch of river as a full day, so you won’t miss any of the cliffs, boulders, or breathtaking scenery that The Gorge offers.
• With two class IV+ rapids, this is the perfect trip for newbie rafters and veterans alike! The Keeneys and Double Z will whet your appetite for more whitewater!
• New River Gorge Bridge: ​Perhaps the most famous landmark in West Virginia, the New River Gorge Bridge towers 876 feet about where you’ll be sitting in your raft, gazing up in awe at its beauty. The half-day Lower New River trip ends just underneath this iconic structure.

TRIP TIPS

• March-May is considered Spring rafting on the New River. The waves will be huge and the current will be fast.
• Unusually high water levels may cause trips to be shifted to a different section of the river for safety.
• Waivers are required for all participants.
• Let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to your arrival at ACE
• Be sure to leave the jewelry, watches, and any other valuables behind. Your trip leader will secure your car keys in a safe place. Items are easily lost on the river!

TRIP PHOTOS AND VIDEO

• Waterproof cameras/GoPros are allowed on ACE rafting trips.
• An ACE photographer will take photos along the way for purchase after the trip in the Outfitter store at ACE Adventure Resort or here on our online store…
• All Lower New River Gorge rafting trips will have a trip video, Upper New River Gorge trips will have a photographer only.
