The Lower New River beckons as our most popular trip, welcoming both beginners and seasoned rafters alike. For those seeking a more tranquil experience, the Upper New River offers a perfect escape.

If you’re fortunate enough to visit in the fall, the Gauley River showcases breathtaking views and thrilling rapids. While the Upper Gauley River is tailored for the experienced, the Lower Gauley River offers an adventure comparable to the Lower New River.

Use the non-profit group rates to plan a one-day or multi-day trip. That plan can be as basic as a trip to the Waterpark or ACE’s Rafting, Rock Climbing, Aerial Park, Mountain Biking, and Zip Lining, which can challenge you physically and personally.

The Mud obstacle, Aerial Park, Paintball, and Team Challenge activities help you identify the leaders and encouragers and strengthen your group’s ability to work together to accomplish a common goal. Looking for a more reflective trip? Consider a guided hike, Stand Up Paddleboarding, or Lake Kayaking.

At the heart of ACE Adventure Resort is the coolest waterpark you’ve ever experienced. This expansive 5-acre lake is packed full of fun for all ages and offers countless opportunities to unwind on the beach.

The lake features inflatable obstacles just waiting to be conquered, inviting you to climb, slide, and bounce gleefully through the water. Challenge your friends on the tandem slides and zip lines to see who can make the biggest splash. Take turns blobing each other to see who can go the highest while flying into the water. With endless excitement, this destination promises a memorable full-day or half-day adventure.

New for 2019, ACE offers a STEM Waterpark program so Girl Scouts can learn about principles of mathematics and physics that make Wonderland Waterpark operate!

If you’re with a group, we can also whip up a special lunch just for you with plenty of tasty options. And when evening rolls around, head back to The Lost Paddle Bar and Grill for a comforting dinner filled with all your classic American favorites!

There’s so much to do at ACE for FREE! Begin your adventure at the Welcome Center, where you can grab a map to guide your journey. Explore the breathtaking trails that weave for miles around ACE, including the stunning Concho Overlook Trail, which offers a captivating view of the historic town of Thurmond in the New River Gorge. For those who prefer biking, we have private trails suitable for all skill levels—bring your gear or rent a mountain bike from us and embrace the thrill of the ride.

Cast your line and enjoy fishing in our private resort ponds. If you’re interested in ornithology, this is a prime spot for observing a diverse array of bird species. Additionally, challenge yourself on our unique Disc Golf course, which stretches over 6,000 feet and features both challenging and open flight paths.
