Trip Description:

So… you’ve never rock climbed or rappelled before but you’re curious to try it out? No problem, this trip is perfect for newbies, younger kids or folks that just want to try out the sport or expand their entry level knowledge and skills.

Enjoy the luxury of ACE’s Private Resort climbing areas that share the same high quality sandstone cliffs as the rest of the New River Gorge. Rappel down a 50-70 foot tall cliff face under your own control but backed up with a guide controlled safety line and the encouragement of our expert guides.  For those worried about a strenuous day, you’ll be pleased to know that there is only an easy going 5 minute hike to our “crag” (climbing spot).

What To Wear:

• Closed-toe shoes
• Longer shorts or pants to be comfortable with a harness
• Layers are always good
• Hair should be pulled back

 What To Bring:

• Water bottle & snack
• Sunscreen and insect repellent
• Personal prescription medication
• A small camera you can clip to your harness (Trust us, the views are great!)
• Raingear

• Shuttle from the Adventure Operations building to the trips climbing and rappelling location.
