A favorite among returning ACE guests and guides, Lower Gauley River whitewater rafting offers dramatic scenery, a secluded location, and 10 miles of whitewater. With class III-V rapids, a Lower Gauley rafting trip is an excellent step up from the Lower New River and a great option for first-time rafters and veterans alike. This full-day trip includes a riverside lunch, and some of the most phenomenal scenery in all of West Virginia. The Lower Gauley boasts 50 rapids in total, ranging from class III-V. It’s comparable to the Lower New but with twice as many rapids.
