Kevin started guiding in 2009 after teaching outdoor and environmental education for a decade in North Carolina, Ohio, New York, California, Georgia, and West Virginia. He has since spent time guiding in New Zealand and Costa Rica internationally and has advanced as an whitewater rafting instructor with the American Canoe Association.

Kevin is also one of ACE’s River Operations Managers and lead trainers. When not guiding and instructing, he enjoys trail running, bird watching, and playing cribbage.
