Getting Ready for the 2025 Summer Season here at ACE

It’s April, Winter is trying to stick around, but we’re not having it.  The Bradford Pear trees in the Welcome Center parking lot are blooming. Daffodils, tulips, and crocus tucked away in the flower beds are peeking their heads out.  The forsythias are flashing their brilliant yellow color and the early Spring wildflowers along the hiking trails and on the mountains have decided to push Winter aside and take charge.  The Serviceberry blooms can be spotted in the woods and along the roadways in full glory. The dogwoods, redbuds, and lilacs will be right behind them.  Spring has sprung here in the New River Gorge National Park!

Preparing for Our Guests in 2025

We here at  ACE have been getting the resort ready for our guests arriving this 2025 season.Guide hiring and training is in progress, on the river and within Adventures Ops. New hires and returning staff at the restaurant, transportation, and at the reservations office are clocking back in for the 2025 Season.  The restaurant staff have been deep cleaning throughout the Winter, and the kitchen is back together ready to prepare thousands of meals throughout the summer.  The shuttle buses are getting their annual overhaul and decisions are being made about which buses go back to work this summer and which ones find a new purpose. The reservations office staff have been helping guests book their family getaways and large group annual outings throughout the winter months. Lodging deposits have been paid and activities have been added. That final payment 30 days before arrival is just around the corner.

New & Improved for 2025

At ACE, we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience for our guests. Each winter, we reinvest in upgrades and new projects based on guest feedback.

  • Expanded Welcome Center – More retail space for souvenirs and essentials, making it easier for groups to grab last-minute gear.
  • Trip Check-In Revamp – Now a streamlined, one-stop-shop for completing waivers, checking into most guided activities, and grabbing breakfast or snacks/sandwiches from the Tree Top Café.
  • Wetsuit Rental Process – Easier spring and fall wetsuit rentals conveniently located by the changing rooms, store, and check-in area.
  • Updated Outfitter Store – Stocked with new 2025 T-shirts, gear, and keepsakes to commemorate your adventure.

ACE Adventure Resort is the largest family owned resort operating in the New River Gorge National Park and every year we try to improve upon our success.  Come join us for the 2025 season!
