GIRL Fest, the Summer’s Most Exciting Weekend

We’re quickly approaching one of the year’s best events: GIRL Fest, a one-of-a-kind collaboration with the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council. Hundreds of Girl Scouts from across the country will join us here at ACE Adventure Resort in late June for four days of white water rafting, ziplining, climbing, and so much more! All currently-registered Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors are urged to sign up for this one-of-a-kind event. The troops will not only get to participate in some of the most exhilarating outdoor activities known to humankind, but they’ll have the opportunity to meet several other talented young women from across the country. There’s nothing quite like putting your unique skills to the test deep in the majestic Appalachian Mountains! Keep reading to learn more about this year’s GIRL Fest.

What Is GIRL Fest?

So, what is GIRL Fest? Well, first and foremost, this educational, inspirational, and enjoyable event is an opportunity for Girl Scouts from across the country to gather together, participate in a wide variety of challenging outdoor activities, earn badges, and take part in special ceremonies. Not only will this program provide your girls with thrills of a lifetime, but these talented young women will learn new skills, build character, and meet new friends in a safe, beautiful, and exciting environment.

GIRL Fest Packages

We cannot thank the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council enough for their partnership as this year’s event promises to be one for the ages! If you browse through our various packages, you’ll quickly notice that the four-day packages are just $475 per person. That price includes three adventure activities, Wonderland Waterpark passes, four nights camping, 11 meals, and special events. Exciting Activities

All Girl Scouts get to choose three adventure activities, including an all-day Lower or Upper New River Gorge rafting trip. There are 12 different activities to choose from in all, so we highly recommend browsing through the options. With Girl Scouts ranging from 4th to 12th grade, we’ve compiled a wide variety of our most popular activities, including ziplining, kayaking, rock climbing, and paintball. The all-day white water rafting trips are the best bargain, but we fully understand that splashing and crashing along a rushing river is not for everyone. You’ll also want to spend an ample amount of time at the complimentary Wonderland Waterpark as GIRL Fest takes place in the heart of summer. As one of the best water parks in WV, we’re always enhancing the features, such as “the blob,” 200-foot waterslides, and water trampolines.

Mountaintop Camping

One of the best aspects of any mid-summer Girl Scout adventure is the late-night campfires. The scouts will get to sleep under the stars in our mountaintop camping sites.
