🐾 Bark Bash 5K – Lace up your running shoes, leash up your furry friend, and hit the trails for a scenic 5K run or walk. Whether you’re racing to win or just out for a fun jog, it’s a great way to kick off the day!
🐾 Adoption Events – Looking to expand your family? Meet adorable pups in need of loving homes, courtesy of New River Animal Rescue.
🐾 Training Sessions – Participate in hands-on training workshops led by professional dog trainers and learn new tips to strengthen your bond with your canine companion.
🐾 Doggy Vendors – Browse an array of pet-centric vendors offering everything from treats and toys to gear and accessories.
🐾 Paint Your Pet– Join Wild & Wonderful Paint Parties for a fun painting event where you can create your pet on canvas.
🐾 Food & Drinks – Enjoy delicious bites and refreshing beverages while relaxing with your pup at the resort’s scenic outdoor spaces.

Join us for the Bark Bash 5K, a tail-wagging good time at ACE Adventure Resort on May 10, 2025! This fun, pet-friendly run invites dog lovers and their furry friends to hit the scenic trails together. Whether you’re a serious runner or just looking for a lighthearted stroll with your pup, the Bark Bash 5K is perfect for all fitness levels.

Enjoy breathtaking views of the resort’s natural beauty as you and your canine companion navigate the course. After the race, stick around for pup-friendly activities, tasty treats, and a post-run celebration!

Join Wild & Wonderful Paint Parties for a fun painting event where you can create your pet on canvas. Come on out for a fun evening as we paint our furry friends! $40/person includes all materials and step-by-step instructions including paints, apron, easel & a 16×20 inch canvas. Please email the photo of your dog/cat/other animal to [email protected] by Monday April 28th (photos should be as clear as possible and of the animals face, if you have questions please call 304.207.0317). Canvases will come pretraced with pencil lines to help guide participants. Food and drinks will be available for purchase (no outside food or drink allowed). Must be 21+ to purchase and/or consume alcohol. Come out for a fun evening with a paint brush in one hand and tasty beverage in the other!

New River Animal Rescue (NRAR) is a passionate group that is dedicated to serving the needs of community members and animals in Fayette County, WV and beyond. We are committed to assisting in the control of the dog/cat population through spay and neutering, ensuring all animals are treated with dignity, respect and free from abuse, and providing them with a warm, caring home with residents locally and out-of-state.

New River Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and their shelter is located at 201 Maple Ave in Oak Hill, WV 25901.

Since 1992, Laura of Walnut Ridge Farm has been offering expert group obedience classes, helping dogs and their owners build strong, lasting bonds. With decades of experience, she and her husband, Ritchie Plumley, have worked with all breeds, mixes, and temperaments, refining their understanding of canine behavior.

Their kennel, established in 1994, is conveniently located next to their home, ensuring that someone is always present to care for the dogs. Whether you’re looking for training, boarding, or expert advice, Walnut Ridge Farm provides a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for your furry friend.
