Tighten up your laces, Gritty Chix Mud Run is BACK at ACE Adventure Resort this June! Gritty Chix is all about getting muddy for a good cause. Grab your pals or tackle the obstacles solo. Bring your tutus, your (environmentally friendly glitter), and your clever team names. However you decide to participate, we guarantee you will have a BLAST!
If you’ve never been a Gritty Chick, this is the PERFECT race to “dip your toe in the mud.” Our course is designed to challenge you, succeed and meet your goals. . Hands down, no contest, the BEST part of the Gritty Chix Mud Run are the participants. Without you, this event wouldn’t be possible. Every year, we are blown away by the enthusiasm and support all racers offer each other. The Gritty Chix community isn’t restricted to the ladies, we love our Dirty Dudes just as much. Have kids? Bring them along. Participants 10 and older are welcome to register with a participating adult. Don’t forget to bring your fan club. Our course is designed with plenty of space for your family and friends to cheer you on from the sidelines.
What are the perks when you participate in the Gritty Chix Mud Run? Glad you asked! To start, a FREE race shirt when you sign up by 5/31/24. Secure bag check, free parking, showers and of course, to commemorate your accomplishment, the official Gritty Chix Medal for you to proudly wear. Stick around after the race for awards and music on the outside deck at The Lost Paddle. Awards? Yes! We celebrate the best team names, costumes and MORE!
If you’ve never had the opportunity to visit ACE Adventure Resort, you are in for a treat. With over 1500 acres nestled in the heart of the New River Gorge we have no shortage of adventures. Make this a weekend getaway for the whole family. Rent a cabin or pitch a tent and relax by the campfire. Enjoy white water rafting, world-class ziplines, hiking and more. After you finish the race, relax on the beach or take advantage of our spring fed lake with over fifty inflatable toys. The Lost Paddle Bar and Grill (https://aceraft.com/ace-adventure-resort/resort-dining/the-lost-paddle/) is a great place to refuel with their spin on American classics, wood fired pizzas and a large selection of craft beers and cocktails.
Each year, we use the Gritty Chix platform to give back to an organization in our community. This year, we have chosen The New River Conservancy (https://newriverconservancy.org/). The New River conservancy helps to protect the countless communities who depend on the bounty of the New River. Ensuring the waters that feed it are clean and the land supports the countless species of plants and animals are a top priority. The New River is a magnificent resource to many regions, especially in our very own backyard and national park, the New River Gorge.
