Get Your Climb On

SHARE

Climbing and paddling are just a few of the ways we get around here.

Between the New River Gorge, Summersville Lake and the Meadows, there are over 65 miles of cliff faces to scale including over 1700 recognized routes to climb in our area – all range from easy to impressively difficult… and every route gives you the rush of defying gravity!

Coolest thing about climbing and rappelling? Anyone can do it – gravity is your friend.

Toss in some sweet views from the rim of the New River Gorge and it only gets better. Don’t look down, just look at the rock in front of you. Wedge yourself into some cracks with a half day, full day or evening trip after a day of rafting.

When you’re with an experienced guide who knows all the ins-and-outs of setting up anchors and belays + hot to tie knots + all that other technical climbing stuff, you can feel safe knowing this is the only way to climb around here.

Sometimes it’s the anticipation of an event that makes us a little afraid, but once we get out there, the fears melt away and the smiles come out! When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone, even just a little?
