Coronavirus Preparedness

We’ll continue to update this page in the coming days.

A Promise To Our ACE Family In Trying Times

The health and safety of our guests, guides, and staff at ACE is of the utmost importance to us. That’s why we’re closely following all guidelines in place for the State of West Virginia. We are closely monitoring any changes and updates to our State’s Reopening Guidelines, and will update this page when those changes are implemented.

Our Commitment To Cleanliness:

At ACE, the health and safety of our guests and our employees is very important to us in these challenging and unprecedented times. That’s why we’re staying up to date on all local, state and federal recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting all the cabins and public spaces at ACE. Additionally, if any member of our team experiences COVID-19 symptoms they are asked to go home and follow local and CDC guidelines for testing and quarantine.

The Resort:

Public Restrooms

We have set a schedule for the cleaning and disinfecting of public bathrooms at ACE. All touchable surfaces are cleaned frequently. Hand washing supplies are refilled and restocked on a routine basis. Hand sanitizer is available in public restrooms for our employees and guests to use.

Public Spaces

We encourage all guests to implement preventative measures such as: covering sneezes and coughs, washing hands frequently and using hand sanitizer where available, and staying home if you’re sick. We follow all operational dining service guidelines as defined by state and local regulations.

Cabins And Check-in

All lodging guests should self-screen prior to arrival and reschedule their visit if they’ve been in contact with somebody with COVID-19, or have experienced any symptoms of COVID 19 including fever, cough, shortness of breath, and loss of taste or smell.

We encourage all lodging guests to take their temperature prior to arriving at ACE.

When guests are in common areas, they are encouraged to wear a face-covering or mask.

All keys will be sanitized before and after each use.

We pledge to routinely clean all guest cabins, and our housekeeping staff is fully up to date on cleaning and disinfecting protocols outlined by the CDC and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. We are using products that have been determined by the EPA to kill viral pathogens. All cabin laundry is being washed with approved disinfectants. The front desk at the Welcome Center and all touchable services will be disinfected after every guest.

Additionally, all staff members will be asked to seek medical care if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

Mountain Top Campground

ACE’s huge campground makes it easy to socially distance from others while enjoying the outdoors.

It is highly recommended that all guests wear cloth or disposable face masks or coverings. Campers are encouraged to practice social distancing (keeping at least six feet away from others) with other campers who they are not traveling with.

Campground bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected routinely by ACE staff. EPA approved disinfectants that meet CDC guidelines will be used in the bathrooms and shower houses.
