Funky jam band fans rejoice because we got some champions of the genre coming to the mountaintop main stage June 1st & 2nd. We are thrilled to announce that Perpetual Groove, LITZ, and The Fritz will all be joining the 2018 Mountain Music Festival Lineup. These groups will be joining over 25 bands for three days of adventure and fun in the West Virginia mountains at ACE Adventure Resort.
Perpetual Groove
Perpetual Groove has been touring the country for years and developed an enthusiastic fan base and international critical acclaim. After a two year hiatus, Perpetual Groove is back. A few years back Brock Butler found himself playing a solo set at The Lost Paddle while immersed in one of the coolest outdoor adventure vacations he had experienced. Since then he has been itching to come back to the mountain and play before the MMFest crowd. We can’t wait to welcome Brock and Perpetual Groove back this summer!
LITZ
LITZ brings together a wide array of musical influences ranging from funk, jam, go-go, soul, electronica and just about everywhere in between to amalgamate a new sound for the ears of the world. Their sound strides to sonically transport it’s listeners to another planet free of the stress, struggles, and tribulations of modern day life through the use of funky horn riffs, wah-wah keys, pounding bass, driving/progressive rhythms and melt your face guitar.
The Fritz
The Fritz is a soul-driven dance rock band hailing from Asheville, NC. The group’s aggressive approach to funk, soul, and rock creates a sound that is uniquely their own. Their high-energy, danceable songs provide a platform for each member to shine. With powerful vocals, climactic solos, and tight grooves, The Fritz has built a devoted following and is captivating audiences everywhere. With appearances at festivals such as Hulaween, Wakarusa, and Catskill Chill, the band quickly gained a reputation as a live act not to be missed.
