Escape your every day with a vacation to ACE Adventure Resort for some world-class whitewater rafting, plus 1,500 acres of awesome-ness in the New River Gorge you can explore by zip lining, rock climbing, mountain biking, horses and just plain old hiking. Plenty of fresh air, fun times and bonfires are waiting to soothe that travel itch and satisfy any level of thrill-seeker.

Fall Gauley Season 2015

Around here, we all live for Fall Gauley Season! We just can't resist those big hits and massive waves to the face from the Summersville Dam releases! If you've never paddled this river, rafting the Gauley River during the fall #GauleySeason is truly an out of this world, cosmic experience.

For six weeks from September 11 through Bridge Day Weekend on October 18, we'll be surfing the big waves of the mighty Gauley River. Plus (as if the high river water level wasn't exciting enough), we kicked off the season with a major Party in the Holler concert featuring The Wood Brothers and the Steel Drivers on our own private Wonderland mountain-top stage and festival grounds! Everyone had a blast and thanks to those who helped and came to party in the holler with us!

Gauley River Rafting Calendar 2015

Pick your own thrill level by going all-out on the extreme whitewater of the Upper Gauley or work your way up to those Class 5 rapids by first running the Lower GauleyIf you want the full Gauley experience without the rush of just a single day's adventure, we recommend an overnight trip where you can sleep under the stars (or just party by the bonfire) at our private campsite.

Mark your calendars, ask off from work, book a flight, grab some friends... do whatever you gotta do to get down to ACE and raft with us during Fall Gauley Season this year. Until then, binge on some Gauley whitewater action with these videos...

Don't Forget - Bridge Jam is This Weekend

October 12, 2015

As Gauley season comes to an end, this weekend Bridge Jam promises to make a great weekend in Fayetteville even better. The fall colors are peaking and the Bridge Jam festival has a star-studded lineup of Bluegrass, Americana, and rock music, plus with craft beer and local food in a beautiful 50-acre setting in downtown Fayetteville on Saturday, October 17. Bridge Jam founder, Bill Wells, envisioned this festival as an initial celebration of Fayetteville and the New River Gorge area to benefit the Rotary Club of Fayetteville, the Fayetteville Arts Council, and the New River Trails Alliance, as well as to compliment Bridge Day. Raft the New River and watch the brave few B.A.S.E. jump at the New River Gorge Bridge, then spend the... Continue Reading →

Yo Mama's Big Fat Wood Brothers was the Big Something of my Summer

October 02, 2015

Pretty light shows, friends and booze used to be the things I loved about festivals, until this year when I got to experience things as an insider and follow rock stars around like a little school girl. They call me Brannon Very Important Person Roberts. Back in June, I danced my face off at our annual two-night Mountain Music Festival. I had been to MMFest the previous year and enjoyed myself a little too much then, but this year was even better. Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band brought ALL the funk, and if you’ve ever seen them you know their contagious energy is incomparable. Always a crowd favorite.  But if I’m being honest, I was most anticipating the Del... Continue Reading →
